About the studio
Engineers who understand how the store gets used
Most developers have never had to run an email calendar, manage an ad budget or fight for search rankings. We have. Paladin grew out of years spent inside ecommerce companies doing exactly that work, so we build systems your marketing and operations teams can actually use.
We're deliberately small. You work directly with the people building your systems, not an account manager. When a project needs more hands, we bring in specialists we trust and manage them for you.
The studio is led by Iakov Fomin, a software engineer with a background in ecommerce email, paid ads and SEO. He's the engineer on every project.
Questions
How much does it cost?
The audit is a fixed price. Project work is quoted up front after the audit. The retainer is a flat monthly fee based on how much of our time you need. We share real numbers on the intro call.
Do we need to be on Shopify Plus?
No. Most of our clients are, but we work with standard Shopify plans too. If Plus would actually pay for itself, we'll say so, and if it wouldn't, we'll say that too.
Who does the work?
The studio's lead engineer is on every project. When a job needs a specialist, such as a designer, a copywriter or a NetSuite consultant, we bring in people we've worked with before and manage them for you.
Can you work with our existing agency or developers?
Yes. A lot of our work is acting as the technical voice between a brand and its agencies, reviewing their work and making sure the pieces fit.
Are you a design or marketing agency?
No. We don't run your ads or design your brand. We build and maintain the systems your marketing team relies on, and we understand how they use them.
What access do you need?
Staff accounts on Shopify and your other tools, set up with only the permissions the job needs. We never ask for your owner login.
